The Foundation International Communications Hub (Comms Hub) is a collaborative space that supports pro-democracy actors with strategic communication, digital analysis and narrative insights. Its work focuses on understanding information environments, tracking emerging narratives, and strengthening democratic resilience across Europe. The Hub combines qualitative and quantitative methods, integrates social science perspectives, and partners with civil society, researchers, and communicators to develop evidence-based strategies. 

About the Role 

The Comms Hub is seeking an experienced and creative Communications and Campaigns Lead to guide the organization’s global communications strategy and deliver high-impact, data-driven campaigns. This role is ideal for a strategic communicator who thrives in collaborative, mission-driven environments and has a strong understanding of European civil society. 

As a member of the Comms Hub team, you will work closely with partner organizations across Europe to elevate us and our partner organizations, strengthen engagement, and support advocacy and outreach initiatives. 

  • Contract type: Full-time, 12 months, self-employed

  • Location: Remote (EU-Based)

  • Work authorization: Applicants must already hold a valid EU work permit. The organization does not provide visa sponsorship

  • Start date: Second half of January 2026 

  • Languages: English

Key Responsibilities 

1. Communications & Branding (50%) 

  • Lead Comms Hub’s brand strategy, annual communications plan, and social media presence. 

  • Manage the organization’s website and develop project sites (Squarespace/WordPress); maintain all brand assets. 

  • Design and produce digital content, templates, and learning products for online and offline outreach. 

  • Oversee the publication and dissemination of research outputs, including the annual impact report. 

  • Coordinate events, manage external communications vendors, and administer the communications budget. 

  • Organize outreach activities to strengthen Comms Hub’s visibility and influence. 

2. Strategic Campaigns & Partner Management & (30%) 

  • Conduct baseline analysis of partner organizations’ reach and engagement (with consent) to support MEL for partner campaigns. 

  • Design and implement data-driven, multi-platform campaigns in collaboration with partners. 

  • Work with Comms Hub’s Digital Research Lead and Public Opinion Partners to develop strategic plans informed by social listening, polling, and other data. 

  • Mentor partner organizations on communication strategies tailored to diverse audiences and channels. 

  • Monitor, analyse, and optimize campaigns based on performance metrics. 

  • Produce learning products and case studies from campaign outcomes. 

3. Organizational Support & Fundraising (20%) 

  • Contribute to the development and delivery of fundraising strategies that advance Comms Hub’s mission. 

  • Identify prospective donors and funding opportunities; support proposal development and copy-editing. 

  • Prepare high-quality reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, including donor updates. 

  • Support organizational strategy, network-building, and cross-team initiatives. 

  • Represent Comms Hub externally alongside the Senior Management Team. 

  • Provide editorial and design review for case studies and team reports. 

Required Skills & Experience 

Sector Knowledge 

  • Strong understanding of EU civil society organizations (CSOs) and experience working with European CSOs, ideally in Brussels and at least one Member State. 

Communications Expertise 

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in political and strategic communications, public affairs, press relations, communications planning, message testing, and targeted online campaigns. 

  • Ability to design and run targeted campaigns on at least three platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, TikTok). 

  • Experience applying polling data, social listening, or other datasets to inform campaign strategies. 

Digital & Creative Skills 

  • Proven ability to manage digital assets, including social media accounts, and maintain a consistent content pipeline. 

  • Proficiency in Canva or similar tools, with strong creative and visual storytelling skills. 

  • Skilled in using digital tools and AI platforms for content creation. 

Monitoring & Evaluation 

  • Ability to develop MEL frameworks, baseline performance, and evaluate campaign effectiveness.
